My daughter started Kindergarten this week and my son will start preschool in September. This past month was all about savoring the last bits of summer before ushering in this new season. We hit up the beach, enjoyed some pool time, and visited new places.

Summer is in full swing and we’re soaking it all in before my oldest starts Kindergarten in August. We took a family trip to Williamsburg where the kids enjoyed their first roller coasters and dipped their toes into the James River, got a few pool visits under out belts, and enjoyed the 4th with my brother and his wife when they came down for a visit. I’ll miss the freedom of summer but I’m definitely over the heat, humidity, and bug bites.

It’s been a fun and exciting month. School was wrapped up and we jumped into summer. We’ve already marked the beginning of summer with outdoor adventures, water play, backyard campfires, and my oldest learned how to ride a bike. I don’t think you can get more quintessential summer than that!

I’m so glad to be back for my second month of projectTEN! I’ve had more time to get it together this month. I’ve been shooting a lot this month, trying new things in the safe confines of personal work. I’ve had a lot of “wow, trash that immediately” and then some “oh! that actually looks pretty good!”.
