I can’t believe my last baby turned 1 in April. To celebrate this milestone I did a little shoot for her. Sometimes it’s hard to remember to do sessions for your own family. I’m good with the day to day shots but terrible about sessions for them. A personal goal is to do more of that.

My daughter started Kindergarten this week and my son will start preschool in September. This past month was all about savoring the last bits of summer before ushering in this new season. We hit up the beach, enjoyed some pool time, and visited new places. ProjectTEN July
Summer is in full swing and we’re soaking it all in before my oldest starts Kindergarten in August. We took a family trip to Williamsburg where the kids enjoyed their first roller coasters and dipped their toes into the James River, got a few pool visits under out belts, and enjoyed the 4th with my brother and his wife when they came down for a visit. I’ll miss the freedom of summer but I’m definitely over the heat, humidity, and bug bites. It’s been a fun and exciting month. School was wrapped up and we jumped into summer. Shoot & Share Photo Contest 2017
A friend and fellow photographer introduced me to the shoot & share photo contest this year. It’s the world’s largest free photo contest. It’s done in a fair way that you are given 4 random images at a time to choose the best one out of. Then you are given 4 more, and so on. No names or information are with each photo so you can’t get by on name recognition alone, and you can’t link large groups or friends to your specific images to get votes that way. There were over 300,000 submissions this year! I decided to enter and am pleased to say that I had several do well…. Keep Reading

I’m so glad to be back for my second month of projectTEN! I’ve had more time to get it together this month. I’ve been shooting a lot this month, trying new things in the safe confines of personal work. I’ve had a lot of “wow, trash that immediately” and then some “oh! that actually looks pretty good!”.
