Good luck in Kindergarten, Norah!
I can’t believe my last baby turned 1 in April. To celebrate this milestone I did a little shoot for her. Sometimes it’s hard to remember to do sessions for your own family. I’m good with the day to day shots but terrible about sessions for them. A personal goal is to do more of that.
I was so excited when this sweet little boy’s momma let me know he was finally on his way. I don’t think anything quite matches the sweet simplicity of a fresh 48 session.
If you follow along here you already saw his short film. Now I’m ready to share the photos of this perfect little boy. I don’t have much to say because I hope the photos themselves tell the story of Edward Alexander’s first day of life.
What an honor to be a part of such joy. Congratulations, Barker family!
What a pleasure it was to be able to come photograph and film this sweet 12 hour old boy. These films are becoming one of my favorite things ever and are now available as an add-on to certain sessions.
I’ve been dabbling in short films and will soon be offering them as an add-on to certain sessions. I am enjoying making these so much and think they are the perfect compliment to a photo session.
I first met the Hartmans when I came to photograph their third son’s newborn photos 2 years ago. I returned recently to do a session with their brand new fourth son. Life with four boys is sure going to be an amazing adventure! Moses was content and so alert for much of his session. Welcome, sweet boy!
Where to even begin? I love this family. They have had a crazy year. The birth of their son coincided with moving to their dream property. They were in a house on the property that was to later become a rental while they did renovations on what is now their main home. I did Steele’s newborn photos out at the rental house and had the pleasure of returning to do his 1 year photos in their newly renovated home. Sarah has AMAZING taste and everything is so beautifully done. She asked me if it was strange to do pictures in Steele’s nursery at 1 year old and my answer was “absolutely NOT!”. I live for these sessions. They finally set up his room the way they like it and I think it’s wonderful to have pictures of this precious guy in there. We finished up the session with some outdoor family shots on their property. Despite it being a gray, cloudy day, it was a wonderful session. They are so wonderful to work with.
So it turns out I am a terrible blogger. It’s been quite a year here and I’ve added my third child to my personal chaos. Now that we’re almost through her first year I want to make it a goal to be better at maintaining my website and blog. I won’t be able to catch up on all the sessions but I’d like to highlight a few.
I definitely wanted to feature this session with the Nelson family. Their sweet little girl was around 1 and they wanted to document that stage of life with a fun lifestyle session. These are my favorite types of sessions because I think they will be the most nostalgic to look back on. It was fun to capture a piece of their lives, exactly how they were right then. I really enjoyed spending the morning with them.
I enjoyed meeting this sweet family so much! With two young boys and a little sister, I anticipated a bit of a crazy session but they were all so good and surprised me so much.
I had such a fun and relaxed session with the Rhudy family. They were such good sports and let me try all kinds of ideas which made for a really great session.
